Incognito CEO, Geoff Sewell sings NZ to a long-awaited World Cup Rugby League victory

The NRL and SonyBMG were so keen to have Geoff perform at the game they flew him all the way from the UK to sing the New Zealand National Anthem in front of a sold-out stadium of 52,500 fervent fans at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Perhaps they thought that New Zealand needed all the help they could get for the Rugby League World Cup Final against reigning champions Australia? Given the outcome of the game, perhaps next time they'll think twice about lettting Geoff on to the pitch...

His passionate and powerful delivery of 'God Defend New Zealand' aroused the patriotism of every player and supporter and even managed to impress the likes of Austrain League legends Mal Meninga, Wally Lewis and Laurie Daley who sung Geoff's praises as 'the best anthem singer' they've ever seen. Coming from the Australians that is sweet music to a Kiwi tenor's ears!

Even if victory had eluded the Kiwi team on the night, for Geoff the 36 hour flight from London was all worth it just to stand on the pitch and sing for his country. "Life is not remembered in days, but moments," says Geoff, "and singing at the Final and being part of the euphoria when we took the title was a moment I will never forget!"
