Light at the end of the tunnel?

Live performance is best, there’s nothing to beat it! Yet in these crazy days when our freedoms are curtailed, I enjoyed talking to business women all over the world via Zoom for International Women’s Day on 8 March. I was reminded again just how important is the healing power of music.

These women were feeling the highs and lows of lockdowns and restrictions over the past year and our client asked Incognito Artists to share insights, music and magic to raise their vibe. Claire and I helped them to remember they are not their thinking – they have thoughts, which pass through them, but that’s not who they are; ‘they’ are pure potential with innate resilience – and through energy and music, and souls connecting, we helped them release stored emotion, raise their vibration and let go…

I’m so honoured to do this work, knowing that singing, moving in a way we love to do, and feeling grateful are three quick hacks to raising your vibe. We have this available to us anywhere, anytime, regardless of external circumstances. This is vital to remember for our sanity right now, when mental health issues are at an all-time high.

Happily, we’ve really felt a shift in energy this week, since the UK’s announcement of potential staggered openings. Anticipation is palpable… Hallelujah! It’s a huge relief to have the phone ringing again and enquiries coming in, with lockdown-weary, healthy humans needing to get busy living – and party!

Arlene Phillips, showbiz legend, admitted in the media this week that it is ‘beyond devastating’ and ‘mentally really tough’ to see the theatre industry struggle during the coronavirus pandemic. She continued: ‘Their job is a joy, they want to wake up to it every single morning and when it’s taken away… it’s been devastating‘.

Couldn’t agree more, Arlene. Hopefully, we can now see some light at the end of the tunnel and we can get our joy, our lives and our freedom back.
